ABOUT

The Adventure Weekend promotes everything we love with mountain biking—fun rides, hanging out with friends, enjoying nature, appreciating great trails, and meeting new people.

There is no fee for this event. It is included in your NICA/VA League Fee for the 2024 Season. Make sure you have paid in PItZone. There is no specific registration for this event. All NICA VA athletes are welcome.

For coaches, there are optional MTB 101 Course offered.

EVENT SCHEDULE

10:00: Registration and Event Sign-up

10:15-12:15 Orienteering Challenge

  • Teams of 4 will navigate Blue Ridge School’s trails to find specific points where punchcards can be punched. The team that completes the punchcard covering the least number of miles will win the compeition. This is not a race. Time to complete the task does not matter. The challenge is to navigate with teammates and complete in the shortest possible distance.  

12:45-1:45

  • Bike Soccer Tournament

    • Teams of 6 will compete in Bike Soccer Matches.

  • Blue Ridge School led rides on a variety of trails

  • Free ride time with friends and teammates

2:00-2:30

  • Bike Limbo

  • Bike Packing Talk (What is it? What equipment is needed?)

2:30-3:00

  • Awards and hang-out time.
